holy shit this album... where do i even begin? this album means so much to me it's not even funny. it makes my heart ache for the little girl who just wanted someone to hear her.
i've also seen a lot of assholes on youtube be so mean about this album calling it "main character syndrome" and "overdramatic" which is just plain fucking mean imo?? like halsey wrote this album about feeling suicidal her teen years/young adulthood only to actually experience near death due to cancer. let people put their feelings into art!!! you're not cool for being afraid of emotion!!!

it's not often that there's an album that i love every single song on. the perfectly curated album hits every single mark for me. i just love pop music!! and i especially love when it's gay!!
the very first song i heard from this album was casual and i fell in love and i think i listened to it at least 20 times in a row after that.

I really like PinkPantheress's work. I think it's doing a great job of pushing dance pop forward, especially with the horrible tech-house slop the dance scene is wading through these days. Better yet, PinkPantheress has an unusual (for her generation) respect for old-school house and disco.
This mixtape continues to advance that, and her blend of influences becomes smoother and smoother. Her work stands apart from the many gen-Z DJs who constantly chase the high of Berghain, only to stay stuck at the frat house.
Samples like the Underworld one from "Illegal" show that she actually knows her stuff and loves the work that has come before her. I honestly really appreciate this about her and I hope that she continues to pop off--very few current DJs are making TikTok-able music that has such a rich system of influences.
